This is my second Christmas in Japan.  I say that, but I should point out that that doesn’t actually mean very much because it’s not really Christmas in Japan.  It’s more like my second December 25th here.  That’s the time when I think how nice it’d be to eat a roast dinner with my family, initially refuse to eat Christmas pudding, but then have a little just so I can have some of the cream.  Yeah that’d be so tasty. I met my girlfriend about a year and a half ago at aikido.  Aikido’s what I love to do, and one day she showed up to training with a friend, and stuck at it.  We didn’t really talk very much, not until I found out she was into philosophy.  Man, philosophy rocks.  And cute girls who’re into philosophy?  You may as well give me cocaine ’cause I’m hooked. Leaving friends behind

Recently I’ve been getting ready for my move and doing irreverent things like going to Centre Parcs.  My flat is still full of too much stuff but at least I’ve cancelled my phone and internet contracts now.  Spending time recently with so many people has made me realise how much I’m leaving friends behind.  And I’ve still got a few more friends to see before I go so I’m making the most of every minute of it.
